A favourite shopping spot amongst Hanoi’s rich and famous is Trang Tien Plaza, which is a short five-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and French Quarter. The five-storey shopping mall houses luxury fashion brands such as Cartier, Burberry, Dior, Zegna, BVLGARI, and Louis Vuitton on the ground floor, while electronics and home décor outlets can be found on the upper levels. There’s also a supermarket on the fourth floor which stocks fresh produce and an array of imported goods. Trang Tien Plaza hosts excellent international restaurants with a variety of regional cuisine and plenty of fast food chains, including Dunkin Donuts, Lotteria, and Paris Baguette.

Also called Hanoi Square, Hang Da Galleria Shopping Mall is a good option for purchasing inexpensive clothes, shoes, bags and accessories in Hanoi. Not only are prices here cheaper, it’s still possible to haggle for better bargains especially if you are buying in bulk. The upper levels of this shopping mall hosts stalls selling local artwork and handicrafts such as ceramics, silk, lacquer, and paintings. Hang Da Galleria Shopping Mall is quite easy to explore during weekdays as it’s mostly frequented by locals, so expect a massive crowd if you’re planning a visit on weekends or public holidays.
